Remove borrower memos from being checked in SIP2 Manager

Learn how to alter the Parameters to remove the Borrower Memos from being checked in SIP2.

It is possible to alter the Parameters to remove the Borrower Memos from being checked.

  1. Access the Instances Window.
  2. Highlight the relevant Instance and select Edit Messages
  3. The Instance Messages Window will display:
  4. Highlight Message 12: Checkout Response
  5. Click the Edit Fields Button
  6. The associated Message Fields will display:
  7. Highlight ParametersToCheck
  8. Click Edit Values
  9. The Field Values window will display for Parameters to Check
  10. Highlight Borrower – Memo count
  11. Click Delete
  12. Click OK
  13. You will be returned to the Message Fields Window
  14. Click OK
  15. Now complete steps 4-14, as above for the following Messages:
    • Patron Status Response (Message 24)
    • Renew Response (Message 30)
    • Patron Information Response (Message 64)

Patron Status Response

  1. Highlight Message 24: Patron Status Response
  2. Click the Edit Fields Button
  3. The associated Message Fields will display:
  4. Highlight ParametersToCheck
  5. Click Edit Values
  6. The Field Values window will display for Parameters to Check
  7. Highlight Borrower – Memo count
  8. Click Delete
  9. Click OK
  10. You will be returned to the Message Fields Window
  11. Click OK

Renew Response

  1. Highlight Message 30: Renew Response
  2. Click the Edit Fields Button
  3. The associated Message Fields will display:
  4. Highlight ParametersToCheck
  5. Click Edit Values
  6. The Field Values window will display for Parameters to Check
  7. Highlight Borrower – Memo count
  8. Click Delete
  9. Click OK
  10. You will be returned to the Message Fields Window
  11. Click OK

Patron Information Response

  1. Highlight Message 64: Patron Information Response
  2. Click the Edit Fields Button
  3. The associated Message Fields will display:
  4. Highlight ParametersToCheck
  5. Click Edit Values
  6. The Field Values window will display for Parameters to Check
  7. Highlight Borrower – Memo count
  8. Click Delete
  9. Click OK
  10. You will be returned to the Message Fields Window
  11. Click OK

Taking the Memo parameters to check away from each Message Response, should remove the borrower memos from being checked.
