Here is what ISO ILL is in ILLiad:

  1. It is a protocol to send and receive ILLiad requests for both Borrowing and Lending
  2. Just like some requests come through OCLC Worldshare ILL or through Rapid ILL, ISO ILL enables standardized interlibrary loan communication.
  3. For you to use it, you would need to make sure it is installed following Installing ISO ILL if you are self-hosted or contact OCLC Support if you are an OCLC Hosted ILLiad library
  4. Also, ISO ILL has to be enabled in the ILLiad Customization Manager see ISOILLDefaults and the ISO Reasons for No should also be reviewed
  5. And the ILLiad ISO Service needs to be turned on in the ILLiad Web Server Services.
  6. You would also have the ILLiad ISO Manager service turned on.
