- You want as much detail for the Connection Manager logs
Here are the steps for setting up the Connection Manager Log levels:
Create a C:\DEBUG folder on the server. This has to be the C drive!
Inside a file should be created named debugon that does not have any extension. So the file name should be debogon.
To enable DEBUG level logging, add a new Customization Key named "ConnectionManagerLogLevels."
Set the Value to "Information,Debug,Error,Warning."
The NVTGC should be ILL for the Single server and your site NVTGC for a shared server.
The Description could be something like "Getting more log information from the Connection Manager."
The AdminCat should be "System."
The AdminKey should be "OCLC."
The AdminType is "StringValue."
After setting this up, Restart the ILLiad Connection Manager. The Debug log will start showing up in the Debug folder.
The existence of the c:\DEBUG folder and debugon file will start the file logging of each request sent and received from Connection Manager. This can generate a large number of files so the DEBUGON file should be removed when no longer necessary.
When you get these xml files it should be clear which one was having the issue. The errors will have an “err” in the filename.
