Overview

This learning path will guide you through the process of copy cataloging in WorldShare Record Manager. The general process for copy cataloging is:

  • Search for a bibliographic record that matches your item using identifiers such as ISBN, OCLC number, or title/author
  • Add local bibliographic data (LBD) to match your library's requirements, if desired
  • Set local holdings
  • Export record(s)
  • Add record(s) to a label print list

Compare records

You can compare records in Record Manager to ensure that you have the most accurate match for the item you are cataloging. If multiple potential matching records are found when searching, comparing records can help determine which one is the best match. For more information, see Compare bibliographic records.
