Type the document title

  1. In Amlib navigate to Main > Stockitem > StockitemForms

    You will have to apply this to each Form that you insert the Edition and determine which Tag Subfield it should get to create the Edition e.g. 260 c to get the Publication Year as Edition or 250a to get the actual Edition.

  2. Click on F3 Save to save change to settings
  3. Repeat for all applicable Forms

Refreshing existing Edition Fields

This will take some time. You may like to set it running at the end of the day to run overnight….

  1. Navigate to Main > Stockitem > Stockitem
  2. Then go to Application > StockitemAutolink
  3. Select Refresh ALL items from catalogue using Amlib Cat ref

    This refreshes all Stockitems that are different to the Catalogue data. This needs to be used with caution, as there may be a reason behind making the Stockitems different (e.g. Primary Campus having different Call Nos. to Senior Campus but sharing the same Catalogue Number).

    Enter a range of unique numbers to rebuild in the Start and End fields (for example: 1 to 100000). A message will display indicating the number of items refreshed.
  4. Select the Start button is selected, the lines can be selected to be refreshed.
  5. These are the 6 lines of the Stockitem screen and/or Volume and Edition fields. Choose the Edition option only. Untick the other checkboxes.
  6. At the end of the process a message will display, indicating the number of items processed.
