You can open the MARC 21 field help in OCLC Bibliographic Formats and Standards in both fixed and variable fields.

Open MARC 21 field help for fixed field

  1. From the MARC 21 editor, click the arrow beside a fixed field. The fixed field guided entry panel expands.
  2. Click the Help icon beside the field. The MARC field help opens in OCLC Bibliographic Formats and Standards.

Open MARC 21 field help for variable field

  1. From the MARC 21 editor, right-click a variable field.
  2. Select Field Help > MARC Field Help. The MARC field help opens in OCLC Bibliographic Formats and Standards.
