If a change is made to a record but quickly reverted, will I get a record delivered with my daily Updates?

Applies to
  • WorldShare Collection Manager
Answer

A record will not be delivered with your Updates file if there was no net change to the record between the daily update job runs. For example, if you make a change to a field and then quickly revert that change, the record effectively remained the same, and no record will be delivered with the Updates file.

There are additional preferences you can set for what changes will trigger records to be sent in your Updates file. More information on those preferences can be found here: WorldCat Updates, Update Conditions

If you still believe you should have received an updated record, but no record was delivered, please contact OCLC Support with your OCLC Symbol, the filename example, and the OCLC number of the record with the change.
