When creating a new license, should the vendor be the publisher or the subscription agent?

Resolution

The vendor should be set up to be the entity with whom you have your contract. Typically, this will be with the subscription agent or distributor, not the publisher.  If you are going directly to the publisher to gain access, then set up the vendor with the publisher's information.

For example: your content is from Oxford University Press, but your contract to receive it is through EBSCO. In this case, you would set up EBSCO as the vendor because your contract for access is with them and they are the ones with whom you will renew access at the end of the license.
