We are getting a 'The patron is not verified' Override acknowledgment request

Symptom

  • When we try to check out an item to a patron, we receive a 'The patron is not verified' Override acknowledgment request.

Resolution

You will need to select the ID Verified box in the patron's Circulation profile:

  1. Go to the WorldShare Admin tab and search for the patron's profile under User Management.
  2. Select the patron's user record.
  3. In the Basic User Data section, select the blue Edit link on the far right.
  4. Go to the Circulation selection of the profile.
  5. Under the right side column, below Home Branch will be a checkbox to select ID Verified.
  6. Check the box and select the Save option in the bottom left of the patron profile.
  7. Reopen the Basic User Data to confirm that the ID Verified box is now checked, and then proceed to check out.
