Error in Digby saying your profile lacks sufficient permissions to use this app

  • After logging in to Digby using your WorldShare credentials, you see a message that says "Permissions required to continue. Your profile lacks sufficient permissions to use this app."

Make sure your account in WorldShare has the correct role for accessing Digby. Work with your IT department to make sure that your authentication is setup correctly for Digby.

Libraries must request Digby activation. If you have requested Digby recently, you'll need to wait until you receive a confirmation email that your Digby Activation Request has been accepted. As the confirmation email states, Digby will be available for you to use after an overnight update, so you will need to wait until the next day to access Digby.

If you had access to Digby previously and have made no changes to your account, please try uninstalling the app, reinstalling it, and logging in again.  If you still see the error after that, please contact OCLC Support.
