Daystart configurable settings
Discover the files and settings used by the Daystart scripts in OLIB.

These files contain settings that are used when OLIB executes the Daystart scripts. In general they would not normally be changed.
Caution: it is recommended you only change options when advised by OCLC.
Settings in the hit list
When you access this domain, OLIB lists the following settings.
Setting | Description |

APPLICATION BINARIES | Folder on the Daystart server; do not change. |
ATOMIC_TITLECROSS_ REFRESH | Used by the refresh_olib_views.sql script. The default setting will avoid problems with UNDO space, but may mean temporary interruptions to OPAC searches. |
ATOMIC_USER_REFRESH | Used by the refresh_del_opac_views.sql script. The default setting will avoid problems with UNDO space, but may mean temporary interruptions to OPAC searches. |
LOGFILENAME | Name of the file where the general log information will be placed. |
MARCIMP | Full path and name of MARC21 (ISO-2709) file to be imported during daystart. |
NLS_LANG | Used to set preferred OLIB system language - to operate in a language other than English so that emails such as overdue notices can be sent in the system’s preferred language. This represents the value that will be assigned to the NLS_LANG environment variable during the execution of daystart. |
OLSTFIMP | Full path and name of an OLSTF Titles file on the application server to be imported during daystart. |
RUN SDI | Needs to be set to Y for the SDI alert generation process to run in daystart. It is NULL (same as N) by default. |
SITEPOST | Any SQL scripts that should run after daystart. These can have Objects attached (that can be re-sequenced). |
SITEPRE | Any SQL scripts that should run before daystart. These can have Objects attached (that can be re-sequenced). |
THESIMP | Full path and name of an OLSTF Thesaurus file to be imported during daystart. |
USERSIMP_APP | Full path of the file on the application server containing User data to import. Use either this setting or the one below. |
USERSIMP_DB | Name of the file on the database server containing User data to import. Use either this setting or the one above. |
UTL_FILE_DIR | The Oracle Directory configured in the database for the path to the User Import file to be imported during daystart. Used in conjunction with USERSIMP_DB. |
WORKING DIRECTORY | Folder on the Daystart server; do not change. |

Can be set at Yes/No or Once. Once = the setting will be valid for the next occurrence of Daystart and will then be automatically disabled. It is recommended you do not Enable/Disable settings without first checking with OCLC. |
