Graphical view

The graphical view presents a bar chart of your chosen distribution type.

Overlay

You can apply an overlay to gain further insight in the graphical view. When applied, the bar chart is overlaid with one to three different shades of green and the legend displays how each color is defined (e.g., if you select RECORDED USES, dark green = 1 use, medium green = 2 uses, and light green = 3+ uses).

Select one of the following overlays from the Overlay drop-down menu.

Overlay type Description
NONE (default) No overlay is applied to your monographic collection distribution.
RECORDED USES Collection distribution is overlaid with the recorded usage for items in your collection. Legend values include:
  • 0 (TOTAL)
  • 1 (TOTAL)
  • 2 (TOTAL)
  • 3+ (TOTAL)
HATHITRUST Collection distribution is overlaid with the number of items in your collection that are represented in HathiTrust. Legend values include:
  • NOT IN HATHITRUST (TOTAL)
  • HATHITRUST - IN COPYRIGHT (TOTAL)
  • HATHITRUST - IN PUBLIC DOMAIN (TOTAL)
  • HATHITRUST - IN PUBLIC DOMAIN AND IN COPYRIGHT (TOTAL)

CHOICE Collection distribution is overlaid with the number of items in your collection that have been reviewed in CHOICE. Legend values include:
  • NOT CHOICE REVIEWED (TOTAL)
  • CHOICE REVIEWED (TOTAL)
  • CHOICE OUTSTANDING (TOTAL)

Choice is not included by default. 

NON-ENGLISH Collection distribution is overlaid with the number of items in your collection that are not in English. Legend values include:
  • ENGLISH (TOTAL)
  • NO LANGUAGE CODE (TOTAL)
  • NON-ENGLISH (TOTAL)
ALLOCATED FOR RETENTION Collection distribution is overlaid with the number of items in your collection that are allocated for retention. Legend values include:
  • NOT ALLOCATED FOR RETENTION BY MY LIBRARY (TOTAL)
  • ALLOCATED FOR RETENTION BY MY LIBRARY (TOTAL)

Allocated for Retention is only available for groups.

EBOOKS Collection distribution is overlaid with the number of titles for which you own both print and electronic editions. Legend values include:
  • NO EBOOK ALTERNATIVE (TOTAL)
  • HAS EBOOK ALTERNATIVE (TOTAL)

A print title and electronic title are considered a match if:

  • The ebook and print book share the same OCLC Work ID. This is the most common method used to determine a match.
  • The ebook and print book item records are associated with the same bibliographic record in your library's ILS.
  • Your library has provided a link between the ebook and the print book via MARC 776 indicators, notes, and/or identification numbers.

Ebooks are not included by default.
