How can I separate merged accounts in WorldShare after doing a patron load?

Symptom
  • A user signs into WorldShare, but they see another name on their account
  • A user is unable to sign into WorldShare
  • A user has multiple unexpected entries for their user id at source and their source system in their WorldShare account
Applies to
  • WorldShare Circulation
  • WorldShare Acquisition
  • WorldShare Interlibrary Loan
  • WorldShare Collection Manager
  • WorldShare Record Manager
  • Tipasa
Resolution

Once the patron load has been submitted and processed, there is no way to separate the merged accounts.  This is because entries for idatsource and sourcesystem cannot be removed from WorldShare accounts. To correct this issue, the bad accounts will need to be deleted and resubmitted via a new patron load file.

Please reach out to OCLC Support for any further assistance with patron loads.
