Articles from a journal in a database I subscribe to do not appear as results in Discovery when I search for them
Symptom
- I subscribe to a journal in a database, but when I search for articles from the journal, they do not show up in WorldCat Discovery.
- I have checked WorldShare Collection Manager and verified that the coverage depth for the ISSN is Journal - Full Text
Applies to
- WorldCat Discovery
Resolution
You can search databases in addition to WorldCat from Discovery.
- Go to the OCLC Service Configuration (worldcat.org/config) > Metasearch Content > Default Databases and Licensed Content > Configure Databases to Search.
- Look at the list of configured databases to make sure that the database in question is enabled. See Available collections and databases.
- If the database is not in your default database group, you can either add it to the default group so that basic searches will automatically include that database, or go to Advanced Search in Discovery and manually select that database to search.
If problems persist, contact OCLC Support with a sample citation and image of the results from the database provider. We will request an update to the data if needed.
