I see an error when using WorldCat Discovery with staff roles.

Symptom
  • You are trying to sign in to the user portal for Tipasa or WMS and get an error message saying "Oops. Something went wrong. You are not authorized to view this content."
  • Or, when signed in and attempting to load an ILL form you get the same Oops error message
  • Or, when signed in, navigating inside the user portal causes the same Opps error message
  • Signing in to WMS, you get the error message "Not Authorized. You are not authorized to access WorldShare Management Application.

Resolution

Make sure your account doesn't have the role of WorldShare ILL Partner assigned. This role is not to be used by any actual staff account. It's intended to be used for accounts that represent an institution that you are using off-system requests with, so someone not in the OCLC ILL network. It's not meant to be on a staff or patron account.

If your Tipasa account has this role assigned, remove it.
