Several key updates have been made to the Staff Dashboard to enhance accessibility, such as improved button and icon labels and added titles and headers. Ongoing efforts will continue in the future.
New alert type discovery and user opt-in
Your Capira app will now automatically detect when new alert types have been added by your library. Your patrons will be notified of these new alert types upon launch of the app and provided with the ability to update their opt-in or opt-out preferences.
- Notification Selection Screen:
- This screen displays a list of all available notification types, including the newly added ones.
- Required Notifications: Certain notifications may be marked as "required." Users are required to register for these notifications and cannot leave the screen without saving their selections. These required notifications will be displayed at the top of the list.
- Alphabetical Ordering: All other (non-required) notification types are displayed in alphabetical order for easy navigation.
- New Alert Indication: New alert types are indicated to the user with a visual cue (e.g., a "New" badge).
- Accessibility:
- The blue color used for highlighting new topics (#0EA5E9) has been verified to meet accessibility standards, ensuring readability and usability for all users.

Resolved issue with checkmark selection on "My Holds" and "My Checkouts" screens
Your patrons can now reliably select and manage multiple items in their holds and checked out items without losing their selections. Selected checkmarks remain persistent even when your patron scrolls the "My Holds" or "My Checkouts" screens. Previously, after selecting items, scrolling the page up or down would cause the selected checkmarks to automatically deselect.
