I’m trying to purchase an article through Get it Now, but I received an error message "An error occurred processing the request"

Symptom

  • Getting an error message "An error occurred processing the request" when trying to purchase an article through Get It Now.

Applies to

  • Tipasa
  • WorldShare Interlibrary Loan

Resolution

  1. Use the Change Fulfillment Type drop-down to set the request to either Document Delivery, Purchase Request, or ILL Request, depending on whether you are using Tipasa or WorldShare Interlibrary Loan.

  2. Select Save.

  3. Resend the request.

If the error persists, switch the fulfillment back to what it was originally, close the request, and open a new purchase request for Get It Now.

If the error continues, contact OCLC Support with your OCLC symbol and a full page screenshot of the error message.
