Applies to
- Connexion
- WorldShare Record Manager
- WorldShare Collection Manager
- Digital Collection Gateway
Answer
There are various ways to get original records into WorldCat:
- You can do your original cataloging in Connexion client or WorldShare Record Manager.
- If the records were cataloged in another system, you can export them from that system and either:
- import them into Connexion client, set holdings, and add the records to WorldCat
OR - use WorldShare Collection Manager to create a bibliographic data sync collection for uploading the records, setting holdings, and adding the records to WorldCat
- import them into Connexion client, set holdings, and add the records to WorldCat
- If your records are held inside an OAI-PMH compliant digital repository, you can use OCLC's free Digital Collection Gateway to harvest the metadata into WorldCat.
