Display information for the Shared Print commitment in the LHR text view editor 

You are now able to see a Shared Print commitment in the LHR text-view editor for an individual copy. This prevents you from inadvertently removing an LHR that is part of a Shared Print program. To view this column, you must enable the following User Preferences:

• Working with Records > LHRs > Display Information in Records > Shared Print
• Searching - Basic > Local Holdings Records > Display Information in Search Results > Shared Print

Note: Before this change, a Shared Print commitment only displayed in the LHR MARC21 editor.

Receive a warning when deleting an LHR item that has a Shared Print commitment in the LHR text view editor 

A warning message will display if you are working in the LHR text view editor and trying to delete an LHR with a Shared Print commitment (= the 583 field contains a note "committed to retain" and "Shared Print" displays in the header section of the LHR).

You can delete an LHR with a Shared Print commitment, but you must confirm the deletion by clicking on the "Delete" button in the warning dialog. This appears as an additional notification after confirming the initial deletion dialog. This prevents you from unintentionally deleting an LHR with a Shared Print commitment.

Accessibility improvements in export lists

Some accessibility and layout improvements were made to the modernized export lists pages. This includes, e.g., removing redundant subtitles, moving confirmation messages to the top banner, adjusting fonts, and improving responsiveness. 

Server error when exporting records

You can now export records from WorldCat without having to update your field exclusions under User Preferences. Previously, an error message "Server communication failed" displayed, and only deleting and re-adding field exclusions fixed the problem. 

Incorrect handling of diacritics in the "Insert WorldCat Entity" dialog

You can now search for entities containing diacritic characters using the "Insert WorldCat Entity" dialog. Previously, some search terms containing diacritic characters resulted in a "No entities found" message. 

WorldCat Validation release notes

WorldCat Validation release notes provide current OCLC-MARC updates; changes to tagging conventions and coding practices for Bibliographic, Authority, and Holdings records; and new MARC codes.
