Display Commands for Category buttons | Click one of the following categories to display a list of current items to which you can assign to keys:

Menu Items/Macros/Characters/Text list | Use the list to view or select a menu item, macro, character, or text string for which you want to change or create a keystroke shortcut. This list changes and is named according to the category you select in the Display Commands for Category. |
Current Shortcut Keys | View the keystroke currently assigned to the menu item, macro, character, or text string selected in the list. |
Press New Shortcut Key text field | Create or change a keystroke assignment:
Note: Any shortcut key you assign overrides a default shortcut key assignment. You can Reset to the default keys any time. |
Shortcut Key Assigned to display | When you type a key combination in the Press New Shortcut Key field, displays the item to which the shortcut key is currently assigned. |
Disable Application Default Shortcuts check box | Click to turn off all default keystroke shortcut assignments. A check mark in the box indicates that the default shortcuts are disabled. Default: Check box is deselected. Note: Use the Unassign button to disable a single default keystroke assignment. |

Reset | Restore key assignments to default settings in the selected keymap file. |
List All | List all keystrokes you assigned and stored in the selected keymap file. Note: To view all key assignments in a selected keymap file, including the defaults, go to View > Assigned Keys and select a keymap file. |
Unassign | Unassign any keystroke assignment displayed in the Current Shortcut Keys field, including any default keystroke assignment. |
Assign | Click to assign the key you entered in the Press New Shortcut Key field to the menu item, macro, or character selected in the Menu Item/Macro/Character/Text list. |
OK | Apply the settings you entered and close the window (or press <Enter>). |
Cancel | Cancel changes that do not take effect immediately and close the window. |
