04. “Exceptional” fields and subfields - authority records

When you enter a new record into a CBS MARC 21 database that was made by using a create record template, when you edit or update an existing record in a CBS MARC 21 database, when you remote copy or remote derive a record from WorldCat, or when you make a copy in a CBS MARC 21 database yourself, several “automatic actions” are done on several fields and subfields. The number of fields it applies, is relatively small.

Below, we give an overview of those “exceptional” (sub)fields.
