Overview

The COUNTER 5 E-Journal/E-Book Usage Summary report summarizes your COUNTER 5 usage and denial counts of licensed eJournal and eBook titles for all vendors, utilizing the COUNTER TR_J1, TR_J2, TR_B1, and TR_B2 file types. This report also contains a drill-through detail report.

Data refresh rate This report's data is updated nightly. The data will be updated by 6 a.m. of your institution's data center time. Data will be "as of" the end of the previous day.

Report visuals

Visual Description
Bar chart The COUNTER 5 E-Journal/E-Book Usage Summary bar chart allows you to change the appearance of all visuals and columns in the report to limit by vendor name or usage type.
  • Click a vendor name to limit all visuals and columns to content for that vendor.
  • Click a usage type to limit all visuals and columns to metrics for that item usage type.
  • Reclick the selected area to restore the appearance of all visuals and columns to their default.
Metric Selector The COUNTER 5 E-Journal/E-Book Usage Summary metric selector allows you to change the appearance of all visuals and columns in the report to limit by item usage type. By default, all item usage types are selected.
  • Deselect the Select all checkbox.
  • Select one or more of the available item usage types.
  • Select the Select all checkbox to restore the appearance of all visuals and columns to their default.

Report columns

Click a column name to change the column sort.

  • The first click sorts the column in ascending order.
  • The second click sorts the column in descending order.

The COUNTER 5 E-Journal/E-Book Usage Detail report can be launched from the COUNTER 5 E-Journal/E-Book Usage Summary report. It provides a monthly view of your COUNTER 5 usage and denial counts of licensed eJournal and eBook titles for all vendors, utilizing the COUNTER TR_J1, TR_J2, TR_B1, and TR_B2 file types. This view provides a way to easily identify any months that may be missing data, allowing you to make any necessary adjustments in WorldShare License Manager to ensure that all months are error-free.

To access the COUNTER 5 E-Journal/E-Book Usage Detail report:

  • Hover over a row in the COUNTER 5 Database Usage Summary report, hover over Drill through from the pop-up dialog, and click the Magnifying glass button (Screenshot of the Magnifying glass button in the Payment Activity Analysis drill-through report in WorldShare Reports in Power BI) in the pop-up menu.
