How do I create a new report to see what new LHRs were added in a timeframe to a Shelving Location?

Answer  

This is how you would create a new report for this type of report, if you do not want to download and use the item Inventory report.

  1. Select Analytics > Reports > Report Launch Pad > Application > Web Intelligence.
  2. Select New > Universe > OK > LHR Item Detail.
  3. Open the Title yellow folder and select OCLC number and drag across into the Result Objects box.
  4. Now select Title and drag across into the Result Objects box.
  5. Now select Author Name and drag across into the Result Objects box.
  6. Open the LHR Item Details Yellow folder and select LHR Item Permanent Shelving Location and drag across into the Result Objects box.
  7. Open the LHR DATE Entered on File Yellow folder and select LHR DATE Entered on File [or whichever date format suits your query] and drag across into the Result
    Objects box.
  8. If you want a count of LHR’s then > Open the Measures Yellow folder and select LHR Item Count and drag across into the Result Objects box.​​​


Now you need to set in the filters to bring back the data you require. 

  1. Open the LHR DATE Entered on File Yellow folder and select LHR DATE Entered on File Year and drag across to the Query filters Box.
  2. Select Between and type in 2015 and 2020 [enter the dtaes you require].
  3. Now you need to select your shelving location you wish to report on.
  4. Open the LHR Item Details Yellow folder and select LHR Item Permanent Shelving Location and drag across into the Query Filters box.
  5. Select In List > Values from List (dropdown) > from this left-hand side box locate the shelving location you wish to report on (Museum) > Highlight and Select > to display them in the right-hand box > OK.
  6. To Preview report to see what the report will return, you can select the Refresh button in the lower box.
  7. If satisfied you can then select Run Query
     

Run the report ….

  • You can now stretch out the columns and give your report a name by typing the report name above
  • If you would like the dates to be in order either Ascending or Descending > Right click on the 1st row of report > in the LHR date entered on file column > Sort > Ascending
  • On the last line of the report you will see total of LHRs added in this time frame to this  chosen shelving location
  • You can then Export the report as a PDF or an Excel file by selecting the Export icon on the  top menu bar
