A patron received a recall notification for an item, but the item was never recalled.

Symptom

• A recall notification was sent for an item that does not have a status of Recalled.

Resolution

A recall notification is also sent if automatic renewal fails, provided the associated Loan Policy has a Recall Notification selected. Please review our documentation on reasons for failure to automatically renew.

The item is not recalled in any way. The item will still be treated as a regular loan.

• The item & loan status will not be set to Recalled
• A recall grace period will not apply
• The recall billing structure will not apply.
