New Bill Notice
Use this notification to inform patrons that a new bill has been generated and is ready for payment.
Caution: When a library enables a Next-Generation Notification, its corresponding legacy notification(s) will be disabled (if they had previously been enabled). For Group Aware libraries, OCLC recommends coordinating a single rollout window for Next-Generation Notifications across the consortium to avoid patrons experiencing mixed notification experiences when borrowing from multiple libraries.
Create the New Bill Notice template
To access Billing templates, navigate to Service Config > WMS Circulation > Next-Generation Notifications > Templates > Billing.
Caution: OCLC recommends reviewing your billing notification templates and patron type policy assignments in advance, especially in group-aware environments, to ensure uninterrupted delivery of receipts at service desks. If a billing template is not assigned to a patron type, staff may be unable to generate a printed or emailed receipt at the time a bill is resolved. Receipts cannot be recreated after the transaction is completed.

- From the Billing templates screen, select New Bill Notice from the Create template drop-down.
- Enter the following settings:
