Choose an invoice item custom field
You can apply an invoice item custom field from two locations: the Invoice Details page and the Invoice Item search page.
Choose a custom field from the Invoice Details page
- Navigate to Invoices > Invoices.
- Click Search to view all invoices.
- Click the Invoice # for the invoice you want to modify.
- From the Custom Fields column, click the pencil button () for the item you want to modify.
- From the Custom Fields dialog, complete the custom fields you want to apply.
- Click Save.
Choose a custom field from the Invoice Item search page
- Navigate to Invoices > Invoice Items.
- Click Search to view all invoice items.
- From the Custom Fields column, click the pencil button () for the item you want to modify.
- From the Custom Fields dialog, complete the custom fields you want to apply.
- Click Save.
Choose an order item custom field
You can apply an order item custom field from three locations: Order Details page, Order Item search page, and the Order Item Details page.
Choose a custom field from the Order Details page
- Navigate to Orders > Orders.
- Click Search to view all orders.
- Click the Order Name for the order you want to modify.
- From the Custom Fields column, click the pencil button () for the item you want to modify.
- From the Custom Fields dialog, complete the custom fields you want to apply.
- Click Save.
Choose a custom field from the Order Item search page
- Navigate to Orders > Order Items.
- Click Search to view all order items.
- From the Custom Fields column, click the pencil button () for the item you want to modify.
- From the Custom Fields dialog, complete the custom fields you want to apply.
- Click Save.
Choose a custom field from the Order Item Details page
- Navigate to Orders > Order Items.
- Click Search to view all order items.
- Click the Title of the item you want to modify.
- Click the Custom Fields tab and then complete the custom fields you want to apply.
- Click Save.
Choose a purchase request custom field
Choose a custom field from the Purchase Request Details page
- Navigate to Purchase Requests > Request Items.
- Click Search to view all purchase requests.
- Click the Title/Name to view or edit the purchase request. For details, see View and edit purchase requests.
- Click the Custom Fields tab and then complete the custom fields you want to apply.
- Click Save.
Custom fields usage guidelines
- Text: Enter any text up to 190 characters.
- Number: Enter any number up to 999,999,999. The number of decimal places is determined by the configuration of the field when it was created.
- Date: Enter a date in the format specific to your language (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY for American English) or use the calendar button ().
- List: Use the drop-down list to select one or more options. To deselect an option, click the x next to the selection.
