A number of factors influence the procedure to be used – in particular whether articles are catalogued individually. In addition it is critical that the library’s users can still access the information required.
Note: Binding (i.e. combining a set of issue records into an annual volume) is not always the literal process of having the issues bound. Some libraries may choose to create ’Bound volumes’ at the end of the year once the box of issues is complete. The advantage of this is to reduce the number of issues listed in the OPAC.
