Authentication suddenly stopped working
Symptom
- User authentication did work, but suddenly has stopped working
Applies to
- All versions of EZproxy
Resolution
Check the messages.txt log in the EZproxy folder for errors.
Exapmle: LDAP server does no longer have a DNS entry
2026-04-15 12:13:11 getaddrinfo error ldap.example.com -2 2026-04-15 12:13:11 1 42+ LDAP host not found: ldap.example.com
The solution in this case would be to re-establish a DNS record or find out the new name of the LDAP server.
