You can set fuzzy match criteria to allow for common misspellings and American spelling.
1. In Amlib navigate to Main > Supervisor > Fuzzy Match
The Fuzzy Matches allow entries of synonyms, possible plurals, rules & alternatives for words and symbols that may be entered in searches.
The - symbols indicate spaces e.g. -% indicates to the system to take that character (or word) and space away e.g. War and peace. The system would take away the and as well as the extra space, search for war peace (if a fuzzy match was on -& for and). If the search was for War & peace, the system would take away the & sign as well as the extra space, search for war peace (if there was a fuzzy match on -% for &).
The _ symbol M_N indicates that there could be any single character instead of the _ e.g. if someone typed Woman, search also for Women. M_N indicates that there could be any letter substituted between the M and the N. For example it will find MEN and MAN.
The % symbol indicates that there could be any number of characters substituted. For example M%N would return Moon, Man, Men, Mean, Meridian etc.
