Error message: The authenticity of host 'filex-r1.oclc.org (193.240.184.96)' can't be established.

Symptom

When I try to log in to OCLC's SFTP server, I am getting this error message:

The authenticity of host 'filex-r1.oclc.org (193.240.184.96)' can't be established.
ECDSA key fingerprint is SHA256:CKq6S6F4AV6crWDHhZLbS7eobn5lXWPLh0D57qTAR64.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no/[fingerprint])?
Applies to
  • File exchange with filex-r1.oclc.org
  • WorldShare Circulation
  • WorldShare Analytics
  • WorldShare Record Manager
  • WorldShare Collection Manager
  • WorldShare Acquisitions
Resolution

The host fingerprint has changed.

Make sure the fingerprint your sftp program shows is this one:
CKq6S6F4AV6crWDHhZLbS7eobn5lXWPLh0D57qTAR64

If this is correct, answer the question of the sftp program with "yes".

Other sftp programs may need different steps to resolve the issue.

One other way would be to use this command to remove the old host fingerprint:

ssh-keygen -R "filex-r1.oclc.org"

Then, re-attempt the connection and accept the new one.
