Why does a knowledge base link resolve correctly in Discovery but not in the A-Z list or Tipasa?
Applies to
- WorldShare Collection Manager
- WorldCat Discovery
- Tipasa
Answer
Knowledge base links pull in metadata from the citation to create a URL that ideally directs users to the matching article on the vendor platform. If incorrect metadata is entered in the A-Z list search or the Tipasa request, the link will not resolve correctly.
For example, if the request has the incorrect issue number, a misspelling of the author's name, a different ISSN or DOI, etc., the link won't resolve properly.
If you believe the citation information in the A-Z list or Tipasa request is correct, contact OCLC Support. Include the A-Z list search link (includes atoztitles in the URL), or the Tipasa request ID.
