Why can't I see all libraries that own a title in WorldCat.org?
Applies to
- WorldCat.org
Answer
There are a few possible reasons:
- We ask that users log in with a free WorldCat.org account to view beyond the initial results of libraries that have the item.
- WorldCat.org will list libraries within 200+ miles of your location; it can't show all items available worldwide at once. It assumes that the user will only look for libraries that they would reasonably want to visit in person. To see more libraries that own a title that are farther away, you will need to update your location in the site.
- Not all library types display in WorldCat.org: Where does a cataloging-only library display on WorldCat.org?
